Buddies is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and home like environment where children and families feel a strong sense of belonging. We celebrate and embrace the cultural and linguistic diversity of every family within our community, with Jewish culture thoughtfully embedded throughout our educational program and daily experiences. Sustainability is also an important part of our philosophy, with environmentally responsible practices incorporated into children’s everyday learning to help foster curiosity, respect for the environment, and a sense of social responsibility.
Our rich and engaging curriculum is enhanced through regular excursions and specialist programs, including music, Hebrew, sport, and our Beach Kinder program, where children have opportunities to explore and learn within natural coastal environments. These experiences encourage curiosity, confidence, resilience, creativity, and a strong connection with the world around them while supporting children’s holistic development.
Our Teachers are passionate professionals who are dedicated to ongoing learning and continuous professional development. Each team member brings their unique strengths, knowledge, and perspectives, helping create inspiring learning environments that support every child in thriving.
Our centre at 143 Jasper Road, Bentleigh has proudly provided high-quality kindergarten programs for children since 2008.
From 2027, we are excited to also offer a dedicated Toddler Program for children aged 2–3 years, creating a seamless learning journey from toddlerhood through to kindergarten.
Children aged 3–5 years will learn within a shared mixed-age environment, with both our funded 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten programs thoughtfully integrated into the one learning space. This approach supports children to learn collaboratively, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and form strong relationships across age groups.
Our centre features engaging indoor learning spaces, adjoining adventure playgrounds, and recently upgraded natural outdoor environments, along with enhanced security and welcoming family information areas.

Our centre at 181 Grange Road, Glen Huntly has been thoughtfully designed to provide a high-quality educational environment for children from 1 to 5 years of age. Our four learning spaces are light-filled, modern, and spacious, carefully created to support children’s development, curiosity, independence, and sense of belonging.
We believe children learn best through play, exploration, relationships, and hands-on learning experiences. Our educators provide responsive and engaging programs that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while encouraging creativity, confidence, collaboration, and a love of learning.
Each indoor and outdoor environment offers rich opportunities for inquiry, discovery, and play-based learning. Our outdoor spaces are designed to challenge, inspire, and extend children’s thinking while supporting active play, wellbeing, and connection with the natural environment.
